In short

WalkMeasure doesn't collect, send or sell your data. Your measurements stay on your phone.

The app

• Motion sensors. The app reads the accelerometer and gyroscope (with your permission) only to measure. Sensor data is processed on the phone.
• No camera, no location. The app doesn't use the camera, the microphone or GPS, and never asks for access to them.
• No account. There is no user account. Measuring needs no internet, and the app contains no analytics, tracking or ads. It connects only to Apple's App Store, for the Pro subscription.
• Subscription. WalkMeasure Pro is bought through the App Store. Payment and your Apple account are handled by Apple, under Apple's policy; we don't receive your card details, name or email address. The app only asks the App Store whether the subscription is active.
• Free version limit. The app keeps the number of projects started on the phone, in the Keychain, so the one-free-project limit still applies after the app is deleted. The number never leaves the phone.
• Where data is kept. Projects, settings and calibration are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them too. Backups made by your iPhone (for example to iCloud) are handled by Apple, according to your settings.
• Exports. PDF, PNG, CSV or DXF files leave the phone only when you choose to send them, through the iPhone's share sheet.

This website

• The site uses no cookies, analytics, external fonts or third-party scripts.
• The hosting provider may keep technical logs (such as IP address and time of access) for security and operation, under its own policy.
• If you email us, we use your address only to reply or to notify you at launch, as you asked. You can ask for it to be deleted at any time.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your personal data, and to complain to your data protection authority.
